I'm Cara. I'm a lover of God, science, learning, teaching, photography, music, cooking, reading, family, Florida State football, and the 2nd Amendment.
I'm a twenty something mama of two amazingly sweet boys. They run my household and my life, and I honestly would not have it any other way.
I'm a wife to this incredibly tall, handsome gentleman that God somehow saw fit to bless me with. Every day he makes me laugh, smile, dream, and fall more in love.
I spent the first 18 years of my life believing that music was the only thing I could do, so you'll often find me blogging away while listening to music and drinking a cup of coffee. I spent two years at Florida State studying Music Education before I decided to start a family. Then I spent the next two years working towards a Bachelor's degree in Biology Education. I should have a Master's by now, but I'll get there some day. In the meantime, I know a lot of random information about a lot of random things. Half of my sentences to my husband start with, "Did you know..."
It's crazy to think that 5 years later he's still listening!
For now, I'm a full time mama by day, part time dental assistant during the week, and blogger in the evenings. My husband and I just recently planted ourselves down in Austin, Texas after spending five years on the road traveling for work. We are originally from Florida, but we've traveled all over, including Carlsbad, NM, Baton Rouge, LA, San Antonio, TX and Chippewa Falls, WI, taking pictures and collecting coffee mugs all along the way.
Now that we are permanent, I am excited to finally start working on some of my own goals, like finishing my bachelor's degree, expanding my techniques in dental assisting, and spending some more time behind my Canon.
The Circus Act pays homage to the fact that our life has always been a little bit of a circus. We pretty much sing the circus them song everywhere we go. I always find myself attempting to create a harmony between chaos and hilarity, while helping others out along the way.
